The CA-800 24V Roof mount Air conditioning system

In 2007 VACHS Ltd started to supply and fit CA-800 Roof Mounted units to commercial trucks. Below are the details of the roof top units and how they work.

This is the CA-800 Roof Hatch replacement system. It is designed to replace the roof hatch with a fully independent air conditioning system for use when the vehicle is both stationary and mobile. It uses the vehicles 24Volt DC system via an internally fitted inverter to run the 240Volt AC compressor.

All systems are supplied with a custom made mounting bracket for each make and model and require none or very minimal alterations to the cab itself. We also colour code all covers to match your company’s livery. These units are ideal for those hot humid nights or when you’re parked up waiting for your next load. As it doesn't need the engine running you can appreciate the savings in fuel and component wear which occur during engine idle? Also drivers are finding they prefer to use the CA-800 when driving instead of the vehicle A/C again saving money related with running power consuming belt driven compressors. The units can be operated using the controls on the facia or by remote control for use when driving.
